HORAS!!
It is truly an honor to not only welcome all of you to come to Medan but also to realize the dream of Sumatran debaters to make SOVED.
As we all know that SOVED which stands for Sumatra Overland Debate is the initiative of all Sumatran debaters coming from long time ago. This initiative is as the form of the awareness of Sumatran debaters relating to the urgency of promoting Sumatran debaters' uniqueness and differences from other debaters from different regions in Indonesia. Also, it is about the importance of building the Sumatran debater relationship for sake of future unity. Due to that, we have shown our hard work to make it real.
Medan now is waiting you for your arrival at Medan and The First SOVED 2013. It is time for Sumatera to unite.
Last but not least, this SOVED would not be successful without all of people who are voluntarily in charge. With abundant respect and love, I thank all of people and organizations such Medan Debaters Community, all of debaters from the different universities in Medan that I cannot mention all, and On That Point Institute of Artistic Speaking which have helped to contribute much in preparation of this prestigious Sumateran competition. Special thanks to Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara for the kindness to host first SOVED.
